Sweat!!! What a suprise to have a bit of wind today. Started off with the stoke and 7.0 as it did look windy on the other bank. It was OK to start off with and then the wind dropped a bit. Rigged 8.5 which was just right. The adjustable outhaul helping in the big gusts. The select fin was pretty damn comfy but once again if it is not whistleing then it's not a Select. Later in the day the wind came back again so opted to give the Sonic a blast. What a sweat board with limitless acceleration and just craves to be super powered up. The 32cm fin felt a bit small in the gusty winds but proved really nice when fully powered. The board might just need a nice 34 or 35cm to suit the 7.0 in gusty/lighter winds. Did not have the GPS but I am sure I hit the high twenties. Given a long enough run and a solid wind on flat water I reckon I could get my next goal of 38knots on this baby.
